Summer always comes and goes so fast. I love the idea of a bucket list so I made this one so we can make the most of the summer! Hoping I can snag some of this with pics and create a summer photo book with all of them. Below is the PDF download for anyone that wants to join the fun! ![]()

We are so close to summer break (yes like other schools in the area we still have a few days left). We got to enjoy a little bit of it on the deck while the kids ran a-muck! I only got a quick pic of the Buffalo pizza while I was making it...the kids were too hungry! Everything turned out great. I never made the flourless cheesy flatbread and I was pleasantly surprised, we added some of the buffalo chicken to the top.
The Food:
Like most of you, my days and nights are filled with all things kid related. So I always welcome a LADIES NIGHT when I can fit it in, I have hosted a few at my place recently and decided I must make it a monthly thing. I always have fun planning food/drinks/activities, so I wanted to share!
Here is what we had for May - wish the rain would have held off so we could have been outside but at least it was warm! The Food:
The Drink(s): Dirty Arnold Palmer (adults) and Lemonade (kids)
I made cute mason jars for our adult beverage! I recently gotten into all things vinyl, I post about my business on my Bee Free Designs page!! I'm just a week (or so behind). My older bees introduced their younger cousins and baby bro bee to Disney Dinner & a Movie! They chose Toy Story, which we have done before but the menu was easy so it was was easy to do again! I'm currently working on one for the DVD release of Moana!
December 5th - I'm a sucker for after holiday sales. I got this wreath at Michaels and thought the girls would enjoy making it and they did - of course with help from me. :) December 6th - The girls are both so into reading, awhile ago I asked them what series or things they like to read about. My oldest has been reading Thea Stilton, so I was able to find her a holiday book that she can start to read. My youngest loves this Owl Blossoms series which I found...are hard to get. So I found this Secret Kingdom Series that I think she will love. Baby Bee got a cute little Christmas board book! December 7th - Decorating felt trees! I originally thought they would sew the buttons on the felt tree, but using hot glue was so much faster. And they liked using it for the first time. We only got one hot glued finger. December 8th - Molly brought all the kiddos new slippers! How cute is this little guy rocking his reindeer slippers!!!?? December 9th - We just love the Arboretum and winter time is no expectation. We bundled up and headed to the Winter Celebration. We all loved the festive lights and decor! I'm sure we will back to visit over the holiday break! December 10th - Today was Cousins Christmas Craft day (say that 10 times fast!). We really didn't get too much done...but what do you expect with one 10 month old, two 2 years old, and two older girls who just wanted to play. We finally got some puzzle pieces painted to make some puzzle ornaments (finished product to come). December 11th - Our house was a little under the weather today. Molly watched over us as we hung out and watched Christmas movies!
December is upon us and I'm excited. A few years ago we started the 25 days of Christmas, we usually do something fun each day or the kiddos may get a small gift. I feel that its a little bit more fun to enjoy all the days up to the big day, it goes so fast. December 1st - Our elf, Molly arrived with a Tsum Tsum advent calendar (sometimes you have to just give in to the toy madness). They are crazy excited to see which characters we will see over the next 3 weeks! Our first Tsum Tusm was a Holiday Minnie Mouse! December 2nd - One of my favorite holiday movies is The Santa Clause with Tim Allen, so naturally its one of my girls favorites too. We snuggled up on the couch for the movie with some Candy Cane Oreo Blizzards from Dairy Queen - amazing!!! December 3rd - Once a month (the 1st Saturday), the Home Depot hosts a kid workshop. My girls love it. This past Saturday they built gingerbread candy dishes. If you haven't check these workshops out, do it - they are FREE! We also stopped by Kid to Kid for a quick visit with Santa! December 4th - Making your own wrapping paper at Schlow Library has sort of become a tradition. They host this event in conjunction with their Polar Express each year. They have it again this coming weekend if you want to check it out. This year we also joined in on the fun of the Polar Express! I must say I was very impressed! They are doing it again this weekend - looks like their pre-registation is all booked but you can call or check in person to hear about their walk-in registration. This is another free event - shops downtown I believe help with this event - so take a stroller and support them while you are there!
Well this site has been severely neglected for well about a YEAR! I had full intentions of sharing the rest of our Disney Countdown and our trip from November, but time got the better of me. Then we hit the holidays and shortly after welcomed a third baby bee! I was super lucky and was able to spend the whole summer at home. We made frequent trips to the pool, parks, library, and other fun local spots. I won't bore you with a bunch of old details but here are a few snaps... Fall has flown by and as I settle back in to working life, I'm going to try to keep my calendar more up to date, and make some updates on my page as well. Stay tuned. :)
WOW these days are flying by!!!
We made these travel books last year, they worked well for the airport and flights. I wanted to restock them with new activities. I pulled a most of the coloring pages and activities from www.disneyme.com. I also found some free printables from Pinterest. We also added some new pencils, crayons, and stickers. Today we made Maleficent Horns! I found this idea on Disney Family. You can find the template here. While we making these we also watched Maleficent. I love that Disney is making some of their movies into live action!
Even though summer is over, I thought this next project was pretty neat. Disney inspired pots we can use for some flowers next spring! We used acrylic paint and then a sealer on top.
